Trend Report: Marie Turnor Handbags

The classic style of MARIE TURNOR embraces timelessness and eschews trendiness in the spirit of finding beauty in everyday things:  a paper bag, an envelope, folded paper, the colors of nature... The essence of the brand lies in the realization that practical things are also beautiful.

Cambridge Satchel Company

One of the best purchases I made this year was my Cambridge Satchel Co. kelly green messenger bag. It’s bright, classic, well made, and I constantly get compliments on it. Literally every single time I take the bag out I get stopped on the street asking where I got that fabulous bag. I had no idea when I ordered it that it would be such a hit. Just last week a zesty 20 something working meter patrol pulled a U-turn on her two wheeler, while I was mid cross walk, demanding to know where I got “that killer bag.” Not only is it a showstopper but extremely well made and custom designed with the option of gold or silver embossed initials.

Trend Report: Red Candy

Its all about the electric red crop pant right now. A surprising yet traditional burst of color is added to spring outfits with a classic cut and slightly rolled cuff. The red trouser is a great mix of I don’t care I just threw this on this morning, but also polished and clean. It is definitely a buy now item. Here are some links to a few I love in particular. DVF. TOPSHOP. DKNY.

Trend Report: Beautifully Organic

Organic fashion is not just reserved for hippies anymore. The luxury, glamour and innovative designing using organic materials has reached another level. The idea is now just as beautiful as the art, fashion, and home decor created in the eco friendly manner. Fashion designer Gary Harvey created a stunning gown with recycled newspaper. New York artist Andrew Clark creates breathtaking wall art with fallen leaves from the Hudson River Valley. Angeles Alvarez has shown his creative eco art in museums through out Buenos Aires. Sass Brown professor at FIT has written a book honoring the ground-breakers in the fashion industry and proving that eco fashion is not about the boring beige t-shirts anymore. These gorgeous works of art all stem from the same idea of living an environmentally responsible existence and they are truly an inspiration.

Gold accents, beaded embellishments, thick buttery leather straps, braided wicker, exaggerated animal print and bold stripes are the big trends in designer shoes this season. January’s Vogue featured a photo shoot focused on Spring’s hottest new accessory. The highly wearable Wedge! I get so excited for the time of year when I can pull my sandals out of hibernation and the majority of them have always been wedges. Wedges are perfect for every occasion and the ultimate benefit: you don’t feel the need to rip them off and walk home barefoot after a few hours of torture…you know you’ve done it.

I can always trust The Zoe Report for fabulous shopping tips and today's isn't any different! I am absolutely in LOVE with these luxurious new bookends by Lunares Home. This is my first visit to their site but I am already lusting after almost everything they sell! Their choice of materials is impressive and entirely organic, recycled, and anti-cruelty. They are perfect for any office space or home library, I can already think of dozens of way I would display them.
