Personal Museum

My favorite interior design blog, Design Sponge, recently featured the home of prop and fashion stylist Rosy Fridman. Her and her husband's San Francisco home is not only perfectly decorated, but also unique and innovative. I love the fact that they restored everything in their home themselves and poetically refer to their space as a "personal museum."

What a fantastic glimpse into the world of New York's Fashion Week elite. Each season New York Magazine, in attempts to get readers jazzed up about fashion week, asks top designers to share the inspiration behind their collections. This season 99 designers were asked to submit one image and one word that elicits their F/W 2012 collections. Included are some of my personal favs: Tory Burch, Peter Som and of course Creative Director for J.Crew Jenna Lyons. I love being able to sneak a peak into their creative minds and personal Fall/Winter inspirations. Thanks NY Magazine!

Spring Silk

Interning at Vince has been more then amazing. I am currently working with the Spring and Summer collections which are filled with silk, leather, and gorgeous knits. My absolute favorite look for Spring styled by shopbop is vince's silk henley in costal paired with matching wide leg silk pants. I just ordered the fabulous duo and again can't wait for it to arrive. I'm thinking grecian flats, oversized mens watch, Alexis Bittar liquid metal triangle ring, and Robert Rodriguez belt will top off the look quite nicely. Now I just have to find time to plan that perfect beach getaway.

Trend Report: Picnic Bag

Trend, fad, innovation, what ever you want to call it the paper lunch sak handbag is going to be huge this year. I first saw the uber creative bag designed by MARIE TURNOR and formed from neutral buttery leathers. It is such a great trick of the eye. At first glance the pouch resembles actual paper, but upon further investigation you can see it is actually super soft crinkled leather. I fell in love with the bag all over again when I recently saw a version carried on Jil Sander's S/S runways.
