A Few Predicted Trends for Spring 2013

Overall Trends: Ombre everything, continuing color blocking, sherbet color palettes, new tangerine oranges, dip dying, feminine printing, aboriginal jewelry and trim, tribal continuation, cut outs, reverse intarsia, athletic inspired details and top stitch, 1920's revival, light weight draped hoods, digital printing, halston silhouettes, sensual nostalgia, vintage silk prints, cocoon sleeves.

Key Fabrics- Silk, silk, silk. Crepe back satin, charmeuse, georgette, and billowy variations, 100% silk light weight, Boucle 100% wool light weight, microfiber knit 90% viscose 10% rayon medium weight, Matte Jersey Polyester/Rayon Blends medium weight, light weight lamb skin leathers and yoryu pleated synthetics, especially LW rayon.

Key Trims- Heat-set origami pleated silk panels, twisted rope for belts, collars and around sleeves with fishing hook closures. Metallic leather belts, chainmail, exposed zippers, panels of sequin, hidden slit pockets, elastic self-waistbands, empire waist bows, and lace panels.
